In July , Prestashop had upgraded from 1.6.0.11 to 1.6.1.0 version with Prestashop’s Puffin mascot- Preston. Prestashop released 1.6.1.0 version, it promise perfect open source code and themes for all customer’s prestashop which boasts huge performance optimizations , enhanced EU compliance , refined tax and price calculations and more than 500 improvements.

II, Analyse Prestashop changes
- Design ( Back Office Facelift )
Prestashop gave backoffice a facelift. Logo, images, colors and a few other design elements are changed at 1.6.1.0 version backend. Moreover, Prestashop 1.6.1.0 brings better backoffice performances such as:
- Faster imports
- Better search indexing
- No more issue with huge cart rules or categories
- New Coding standards
